Composing a Multimodal Paragraph

Research on the benefits of multimodal practices in teaching and learning is now ripe since multimodality is a natural aspect of technology, which forms an integral aspect of many young people’s live. Multimodal digital communication can help students acquire modern skills that enable them to integrate images, music, links and words. This may develop critical readers that are able to come up with visual arguments. Grade 6 students composed a multimodal project that included a wide range of skills and meaning-making modes pertaining to digital competencies, with the aid of their ICT teacher. The projects were attention-grabbing, creative, educational, and interesting.
